Fractured finger tip
I got my finger tip fractured on monday and I am now on MC till thursday. Haiz, all thanks to the weighed 20-30 kg bronco battery. Actually, I didn't expect the condition of my finger to be so bad when it got sandwitched (side by side only) by 2 bronco batteries. But when I looked at my finger, it was quite swollen and blue black - I knew something was not right. I visited the MO shortly and he referred me to NUH A&E for X-ray.
I arrived at NUH A&E only to find out it was very packed. When I was waiting, a SIR Sgt wheelchaired his recruit into A&E waiting area - I think the recruit was suffering from an asthma attack. The recruit was shivering uncontrollably and breathless. The Sgt brought him a blanket and pat him to reduce his discomfort. This was one of the most touching scene I ever encountered in my life. The Sgt, most probably a year or 2 older than me, exhibited what is the true "care for soldier" values. It will be great to see SAF transforms the not so mature pre-enlistees(mostly) to caring and thoughtful soldiers.
Anyway, I was given 4 days MC for a fracture finger tip and my finger was wrapped up in a form of casting. Hm.. but I think the tip to NUH A&E was fruitful experience for me.
